The Francs de Pied Reunion 2024 took place on
January 18th and 19th.
The participants visited Champagne Nicolas
Maillart (https://champagne-maillart.fr/), Champagne Chartogne-Taillet (https://chartogne-taillet.com/fr) and Champagne Bollinger (https://www.champagne-bollinger.com/). They visited the ungrafted vineyards and participated in wine tastings.
The winemakers attended interesting lectures by
Jacky Rigaux, expert in geo-sensory tasting and by Gabriel Lepousez, neurobiologist,
specialist in sensory perception and brain plasticity.
This reunion between passionate winemakers and
experts sharing the common desire to preserve the centuries-old heritage linked
to the culture of ungrafted vines, allowed for great discoveries and synergies
between the winemakers.
