The Barossa
Valley recently hosted an exceptional event dedicated to promoting the mission
and values of the Francs de Pied Association.
Organised by John Geber (Château Tanunda) and Nathalie Taquet
(eBottli), the gathering brought together enthusiasts, producers, and
partners to champion a shared cause: preserving the cultural and biological
richness of ungrafted vines, and affirming their relevance for the future of
viticulture.
The highlight of the day was a rare and moving tasting of wines from 50-, 100-, and 150-year-old vines — a true journey through time and a living testament to this unique heritage.
The Francs de Pied Association warmly thanks the organisers, partners, and winegrowers involved. Their commitment marks an important milestone in building a thoughtful and collective momentum for Francs de Pied in Australia.
